Random House Canada has set the challenge to read one of the following Historical Fiction novels by February 28, 2012. Once done, we’re entered to win a snazzy little gift. Seeing as how many of the titles are already on the TBR list, why not!?
Here’s the list as posted by Random House Canada: (and no, even though we’ve already read The Virgin Cure, by Ami McKay we can’t submit it, must actually read it between now and end of February.) 🙂 Them the rules!!
The Winter Palace by Eva Stachniak (Available January 3. Check out the video trailer!)
The Virgin Cure by Ami McKay
The Paris Wife by Paula McLain
Midwife of Venice by Roberta Rich
The Salt Road by Jane Johnson
Madame Tussaud by Michelle Moran
Anything in the Outlander or Lord John series by Diana Gabaldon (If you haven’t met Jamie Fraser yet, are you ever in for a treat!)
i think i will do The Paris Wife– it is one of my wanna reads from last year. But Salt Road and The Venice Midwife also sound good! i started reading Madame Tussaud last year but it was a sneaky ebook– it only gave 5 chapters then it said i had to pay!! i have been looking for it at the library!
oh– and i am a big hater of Outlander and they may take away my girl card for it — i found it WAAAAAY cheesy!!
I know! The choices! You have until the end of February tho – so read all 3 or 4! I laughed when I saw the Outlander stuff because I knew what your response would be! I was thinking The Paris Wife too since we have it, but Salt Road and Midwife books look really good too. Oh what a dilemma!
